ARGUS

Marc Seguin’s domain, Varagnes, 2017.

One wonders what the intentions are behind the flow of images available to all screens and internet users today, whether from the planet Mars, a bathroom or a concert hall. They also come from those eyes detached from the body that are drones and other optics that extend our gaze to the inaccessible, the unprecedented, the unimaginable and today the unacceptable. What do we see when we can see so much, since an image is not much without a brain? Vincent Breed proposes here and now, with the voices of the spiritual wisdoms that are shaking the planet, to celebrate a look that is more like a watchman’s than a voyeur’s. ARGUS, the mythological shepherd of the gods with 50 eyes always open and 50 others closed, is back.
